Five Bean Casserole

½ lb bacon
2 c chopped onion
½ c packed brown sugar
1 tsp mustard powdered
½ tsp garlic powder
1 tsp salt
½ c cider vinegar
1 can butter beans
1 can lima beans, drained
1 can kidney beans, drained
1 can garbanzo beans, drained
1 can baked beans

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Place bacon in large, deep skillet. Cook over medium-high heat until evenly brown. Drain, crumble and set aside.
  3. Sauté onion in bacon fat; add the brown sugar, mustard, garlic powder, salt and vinegar. Cook covered on low heat for 20 minutes.

In a four quart baking dish, combine bacon, onion mixture, all the beans and mix well and bake covered for 1 ½ hours. Uncover and bake 30 – 45 minutes longer. Enjoy!
