“But when the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, then he will sit upon his glorious throne. All the nations will be gathered in his presence, and he will separate them as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats. He will place the sheep at his right hand and the goats at his left. Then the King will say to those on the right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father, inherit the Kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world. For I was hungry, and you fed me. I was thirsty, and you gave me a drink. I was a stranger, and you invited me into your home. I was naked, and you gave me clothing. I was sick, and you cared for me. I was in prison, and you visited me.’ –Matthew 25:31-36

  1. How to Turn Around ANY Church While Reinstating the Heavenly Father as the Head of Your Community
Please, hold on you young whipper snappers and hold on to your britches just read.
I have honestly done this FIVE times. It works. I started teaching this stuff 30 years ago. Please take your time and don’t mess it up. Tools needed: Computer, Printer, Shoes and a smile.
Address your leadership and congregation. Our church must be the cornerstone of this community, the lighthouse of hope, our safe refuge from the upcoming storms. We need to raise our flag and declare this community in his Holy Name. Everyone will be involved in our super fun project. We are creating a monthly (or Bi to start) two sided community news letter which will be written and produced from our teams. Think of tidbits of news, Farmers Almanac and just good community information. See below for sample.
The front side will have brief Greetings from the Leadership. Continue with several small 100< snapshots. John’s cow had a healthy calf, Cindy Lee won the spelling bee, Ox Roast at the Fire Hall at the Month’s end. John explains how to fix a stopped kitchen drain. Bible study on Wednesday evenings. AA meetings. Get it yet? Save your preaching for Sundays.
SAVE THE REVERSE SIDE. Children’s page. Your K1-12 bible classes will go crazy with creating content such as: word searches and paper maze games and craft ideas.
*** Important to save the bottom 3 to 4” under the children’s games. Create tickets, like a train ride ticket. Each one is good for two free admissions. (4 get in free, even though its free for all) Saturday Children’s events, movies, games and my favorites are when your youth create plays and puppet shows. While the children are busy, the rest sit, drink coffee and chat.
One Saturday per month everyone hooks up at a meeting spot and become paper delivering persons.
A last reminder, when someone in your community shows interest in attending, “We have been thinking about a place to worship.” Research shows people dislike new environments. Where to sit, do we know anyone, will we sit alone, what about lunch.
Try this approach: “We would look forward to your visit. We arrive about 10:15, catch us at the door or parking lot and you can sit with us. Hey, how about joining us for lunch?”
Three years ago, in 3 days my group spoke knocked on OVER 100. In my younger years, I was instructed to knock on at least 30 doors a day. A great activity for the whole Family.
The rule of three: After your third news letter, you’ll witness a neat transformation. You’ll have to discover this on your own. In seven months you will double your congregation size.
